About the event
Rehearsal pianists are the backbone of any opera production. We learn the entire score and somehow make one instrument sound like an orchestra—a tender oboe, a bold brass chorale, or a frenzied string section. After weeks of rehearsing, we say our goodbyes when the “real” orchestra arrives. And since most regional companies hire only one pianist, we rarely get to make music together.
Rehearsal Pianists' Revenge finally puts the spotlight on the artists behind the production. Join us February 1 for a night to remember.
